BYD reaches 15,000 car sales in New Zealand
The Chinese brand’s growth underlines the global push of electric cars, with sales rising even in smaller markets.
BYD Auto New Zealand has reached 15,000 vehicles sold, an important milestone for the Chinese manufacturer in a relatively small market that is highly focused on low-emission cars.
The result shows how quickly the brand is gaining ground outside China. For Europe, Italy included, it is a clear signal: the battle among electric brands will increasingly depend on price, range and dealer coverage.
