China’s exports: from fighter jets to the car strategy
Beijing is applying the same playbook used in aviation to the auto industry: aggressive pricing, scale and pressure on rivals.
China is pushing exports with a very clear method: win foreign markets by offering enough technology, low prices and massive production capacity. It is a formula already seen in military aviation and now visible in cars as well, especially electric and hybrid models.
For Europe, including Italy, the message is simple: Chinese brands are not just aiming to sell individual models, but to shift market balances. If they keep growing through price and availability, established carmakers will need to move faster on innovation, efficiency and sales strategy.
