Filosa: the US car market plays almost its own game globally
Stellantis’ CEO says the American industry starts from a clear advantage: rules, scale and strategy make the challenge uneven.
According to Stellantis’ top executive, the US auto market does not really compete on equal terms with the rest of the world. A highly protected industrial ecosystem, huge volumes and a demand structure different from Europe are at the center of the issue.
For companies operating in Europe, including Italy, the message is clear: selling in the US remains possible, but it requires investment, targeted products and a strategy able to withstand a much more favorable environment for domestic manufacturers.
