Formula 1 is reportedly considering increasing the number of sprint weekends to ten for the 2027 season. The move would build on the positive response the format has received, offering more action and points on Saturday.
For Italian fans, that would mean more live racing to follow across the year. Any change, however, would still need approval from the teams, the FIA and the promoters, while F1 also prepares for the new technical rules expected in 2026.
